It started with a belief!
I believe that if you are in pain, struggling with your skin, your hair, your body — that is not your fault.
You are using what you have been given. The pills. The creams. The shampoo that says it’s good for you. The doctor’s prescription. And it is either not working, or it is only working just enough to keep you coming back for more. I know this because I was you.
In 2023 I was lying down with broken ribs, taking painkillers that lasted two hours when I could only take them every four to six. I was desperate — not for a miracle, just for something. A friend showed me ginger poultices and castor oil packs. One night. That is all it took for me to feel ease in my body for the first time in weeks. Simple ginger. I could not believe it.
That moment changed everything I thought I knew.
I believe you have been taught that pills and doctors are the only ones who can fix you. And yes — medicine has its place, I am not dismissing that. But I am here to tell you it is not the only place. There are solutions that have been working for thousands of years that we have been talked out of trusting.
I believe pH matters. Your hair, your skin, your body — they all operate within a careful balance, and most of what is sold to you destroys it. That bar of soap relabelled as shampoo? It will strip your natural oils. That product full of silicones? It will feel good today and cause build-up, inflammation, and hair loss down the track — and no one will connect the dots for you. I will.
I believe SLS is not safe for everyone. I am one of those people, and I will not pretend otherwise to keep the peace.
I believe fine hair can use oils — just the right ones. I believe one oil cannot do everything for every person. I believe the answer to your hair loss, your dry skin, your chronic inflammation might already exist in nature — and that someone just needs to cut through the noise and tell you the truth about it.
That someone is me.
I am not here to be polite about things that are harming people. I am here because I have lived it — the pain, the confusion, the relief, and the fury of realising how much simpler it could have been. I started Eco Lou because I want you to get there faster than I did.
