You need a good Shampoo and a good Conditioner, ones that will moisturise your hair and protect your strands.
Leave in Conditioners are a welcomed extension to beautiful glossy hair, they will help with hydration and Lock in moisture and softness. If your hair is curly do not comb it is another step.
If you can cold water rinse is best, but never hot water rinse especially when rinsing your conditioner out, make sure you cool down your shower or water your using to even luke warm if you cannot use cold. It helps the hair also.
Try not to blow dry your hair if you can for the extra shine and gloss.
Every day I see dry hair and women wanting to hydrate their hair.
Simplicity is essential with a routine so you will keep doing this and it will not become tiresome.
A good quality organic hair oil weekly to fortnightly will give good hydration. With dry hair it comes from many places. It can be shampoos that dry out hair, it can be environment (wind), it can be blow drying hair and having it set too hot when doing this task.
One simple trick you can do today to help your hair is when you condition your hair rinse with luke warm water, never hot water. Hot water will dry out your hair, it will be alright for your shampoo wash but not for your conditioner rinse. If you have dry hair this is a no no.
Another reason your hair could be loosing it’s shine is what is in the products you are using. Eliminating drying shampoos and conditioners will help the most.
Shampoos that have alot of sulphates for someone with dry hair can be a warning sign that this is why your hair is drying. Any thing on the label with the word sulphate will not happen they love to hide this fact. So they give them fancy names. One I never have in my products (EVER) is SLS, it is a detergent. It can have another name, sodium alkylethersulfate. It is used mainly in herbicides but because its so cheap some still use it in hair products. It can dry the hair, it is made with ethoxylation of dodecyl alcohol (reference wikipedia) and these alcohols show sensitivities to eyes, skin and hair. What other names or shortened names do they have? Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) Ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS) Ammonium laureth sulfate (ALES) Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate Sodium coco sulfate Sodium lauryl sulfo succinate.
I believe strongly in getting back to basics to let the scalp and hair be real. I believe in having a good ph level for your hair but nourishment also. When you decide to drop the rubbish and go to goodness for your hair, it is not an overnight succcess. The scalp feels better overnight, if you need healing it will take time. What is good about natural is you can use it as little or as much as you want to, your hair will not be damaged. The hair will be softer, the shine keeps coming back. Leave in conditioners are a great way to keep it manageable and keeping the moisture high great also for those on the go and wanting a quick freshen up with hair.
